Lauren & Kristian’s Anglo-Catholic Church Wedding in Hassocks, Sussex
28 February 2026 | I-DoProductions
The 2026 wedding season began in the most beautiful way for I-DoProductions, as Lauren and Kristian became the first couple to experience our newly rebuilt and rebranded services.
After a winter spent refining our look, our workflow and our client experience, we could not have asked for a more perfect wedding to begin the year.
A Traditional Setting with a Unique Twist
Their ceremony took place at St Cosmas and St Damian Church, set in the idyllic village of Keymer near Hassocks, West Sussex.
The church dates back to the 12th century and is one of the oldest buildings in the area, with Norman architectural origins.
While many couples choose contemporary ceremonies today, Lauren and Kristian opted for something deeply rooted in tradition – an Anglo-Catholic service. Anglo-Catholicism within the Church of England preserves many historic Catholic liturgical traditions, meaning the ceremony was rich with ritual, music and symbolism.
And what a service it was.
Three priests officiated the ceremony, creating a powerful and memorable atmosphere. A full choir filled the church with music, and as Lauren and Kristian exited as husband and wife, traditional wedding bells rang out across Keymer.
It was classic, heartfelt and utterly beautiful.
Bridal Style & Elegant Details
Lauren was accompanied by four bridesmaids, each wearing unique individual dresses that complemented one another perfectly. Lauren herself chose a timeless classic white gown – elegant, refined and effortlessly beautiful.
She also honoured tradition with a “something blue” garter, which we were lucky enough to capture in a quiet moment after the ceremony.
The Confetti Exit
One of the standout moments of the day was the confetti exit. Guests lined the entire church lane, showering the couple in colour and celebration as they walked hand in hand.
It created one of those magical wedding photography moments that simply cannot be staged – pure joy, movement and emotion.
English Countryside Portraits in Hassocks
Before heading to the reception, we captured family formals and essential wedding party portraits.
Then, with the Sussex countryside glowing in unexpected February sunshine, we took Lauren and Kristian for a short private portrait session. The light was soft, golden and incredibly flattering – a rare winter gift.
There was laughter, warmth and a natural ease between them that made photographing them a pleasure. It truly felt like the perfect start to the year.
Pub Wedding Reception at The Greyhound, Keymer
The wedding reception took place just across the road at The Greyhound, a charming and welcoming local pub.
Guests made their way directly from the church to the reception, creating a relaxed and intimate atmosphere.
The couple were warmly welcomed by the landlord, and we captured:
Group photographs with close friends and family
Natural candid moments
Personal décor details
And a lovely final image of Lauren and Kristian with their wedding cake
Though it was a shorter coverage day for us, we approach every wedding with the same care and attention. Whether it’s a full-day celebration or an intimate gathering, we ensure every angle is covered and every important moment preserved.
Because we know this is not just another event.
It is their day.
